Road Trip July 4th

Over the weekend of July 4th J and I took off for an impromptu road trip. We took off from our place west of Atlanta and went north through 575 through Jasper and Ellijay up to the Nantahala Gorge, through Cherokee North Carolina and then over Clingman's Dome to Gatlinburg. We stayed the night in a little hotel in Pigeon Forge and went to dinner at Bubba Gump's in Gatlinburg on the evening of the 4th. We also went into Paula Deen's store, which was full of things I laughed and giggled at and could easily find a place for in my home, but really.. who needs butter salt-and-pepper shakers or like 3000 aprons, right? RIGHT? Okay.. moving on. I don't have any awesome stories to tell, or anything wild to recant, but I can say it was a lovely weekend full of relaxation and quality time with my husband and I got to experience some new scenery. I'm looking forward to going back this fall for some beautiful foliage and to see some different things.

Anyway, enough of my rambling. I toted my camera along and got some awesome shots of the Smoky Mountains and the intense fog along the trip to Clingman's Dome. Enjoy!!

Actress Photo Shoot, Jenna Garrett

We saw this awesome bird while we were in the park.

Over the past weekend I had the opportunity to do a LOT of photography while J and I took off for a quick overnight trip through north Georgia to the Nantahala, through the gorge to Cherokee, NC, did a quick round-a-bout through the town then across Clingman's Dome to Gatlinburg. We spent the evening in Gatlinburg, ate at Bubba Gump's, then headed back across the dome where it was so foggy there were times we nearly couldn't see in front of our faces. I'll have a post up soon with some of those shots, but on Friday I had the pleasure of doing shots for a long time friend, Jenna Garrett.

Shooting with her is always a lot of fun and we always have great success with the time spent. I am very excited to see what things she accomplishes.

These images were shot off the Acworth beach and pier area.

The rest were shot in downtown Acworth with the train caboose, the depot station and random buildings.
